Driven by their interest in the land and strong work ethic, Rich Niemann Jr. and his sons began working a ranch in northeast Missouri. As the ranch grew so did a new passion, producing great tasting beef for their customers.

It also means the cattle aren’t given artificial growth hormones and they take a common sense approach to antibiotics, only when necessary to ensure a healthy herd. In addition to the respect and care that every farmer has for their land and animals, there’s an understanding of the things that help raise healthier cattle, producing great tasting beef.

Our family-owned stores started in 1917, when Steve and Ferd Niemann opened a little corner store in Quincy, Illinois. Their vision was to help families find what they love and make it an easy and friendly shopping experience.
They didn’t know it yet, but their small operation would grow to feed more communities and you know what- we are STILL growing! And their vision? It started a spark that spread quickly.
Throughout the last century, we have worked hand in hand with our associates to bring you what we believe are some of the best tasting foods you can find.
